Whilst the majority of new learners decide to learn in a Manual car, an increasing percentage choose to learn in an Automatic Car so they only have 2 pedals to deal with instead of 3 and will be able to get their licence in a shorter period of time.
Everybody is different but on average you’ll need between 10 – 15 hours less tuition in an Automatic car than you would in a Manual car.
A lot of people are worried about the gears and the clutch but you don’t have to worry about these in an Automatic car.
Another thing to be aware of before you decide on Manual or Automatic is that from 2030 no new petrol, diesel or hybrid cars will be manufactured and sold in the UK, only plug-in electric, automatic cars.
